I sank into the gentle lapping waves
I dove beneath the depths of the sea
Swimming near and far
Searching for something lost
Lost a hundred lifetimes ago
I saw it glinting beneath the sand
As insignificant and unobtrusive
As the smallest pebble or shell
A piece of my soul lost amongst the sand
Adding it to my locket
I resurface, only to begin my next journey
Into the depths of some unknown world
For my soul was scattered in a million fragments
